While attempting to comprehend the expanding divorce rates dependent on social trade hypothesis, the examination needs to consider as its factors, cost, advantage, result, correlation level, fulfillment, and reliance inside the foundation of marriage (Clarke-Stewart and Brentano, 20-21). This must be so in light of the fact that these are the measuring sticks to quantify change or strength in a framework, as recommended by the social trade hypothesis. The hypothesis proposes that after marriage, ââ¬Å"people assess their relationship as far as expenses and benefitsâ⬠(Clarke-Stewart and Brentano, 20). What's more, the endurance of the marriage is guaranteed just when the costs like extra work, extra duties, sharing of individual things and so forth are adjusted by the advantages that incorporate ââ¬Å"love, support, friendship, passionate security, economic wellbeing and associations, and sexual relations, just as property, money related assets and help with day by day tasksâ⬠(Clarke-Stewart and Brentano, 20). ... In this way, as per social trade hypothesis, if elective attractions and assets are more grounded when contrasted with the prizes, separate occurs. As a rule, social trade hypothesis surmises that ââ¬Å"all relational conduct including dating, marriage and family connections, is accepted to include a procedure of exchange and dealing (Baker, 78). As a rule from a social scientistââ¬â¢s regular point of view, the explanations behind separation can be ââ¬Å"delays in age from the start marriage, rising non-conjugal dwelling together, and increments in non-conjugal birthsâ⬠and furthermore ââ¬Å"womenââ¬â¢s developing instruction and monetary autonomy, a decrease in strict impact, an expansion in independence, and a comparing decrease in communalism (Lamb, 196). The hazard factors that realize a separation as distinguished by scientists likewise establish an extremely extensive rundown (qtd. In Lamb, 197). This rundown incorporates, factors like: Marrying a young person, b eing poor, having a low degree of instruction, having no kids from the marriage, bringing youngsters from a past association into the marriage, being in a second or higher request marriage, living together preceding marriage, having no strict connection, not having a similar religion with oneââ¬â¢s mate, living in a urban territory, and experiencing childhood in a family unit without two consistently wedded guardians (Lamb, 197-198). Different discoveries of sociology research in such manner have proposed that instruction has a positive relationship with the danger of separation (qtd. by Lamb, 198). A lot progressively prompt causative elements of separation have been recognized also. These involve ââ¬Å"frequent contentions, rehashed articulations of negative effect, residential Anonymoushttp://www.blogger.com/profile/13394360061979104703noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6723111411376802710.post-18363519802303095392020-08-27T16:06:00.001-07:002020-08-27T16:06:09.012-07:00Philosophy Mathematical Notion Of Infinity Essays -Theory: Mathematical Notion Of Infinity The numerical idea of endlessness can be conceptualized from multiple points of view. In the first place, as checking by hundreds for the remainder of our lives, an unending amount. It can likewise be thought of as delving an entire in damnation forever, negative vastness. The idea I will investigate, be that as it may, is unendingly littler amounts, through radioactive rot Boundlessness is by definition an uncertainly huge amount. It is difficult to get a handle on the extent of such a thought. At the point when we analyze limitlessness further by setting up coordinated correspondence's between sets we see a couple of quirks. There are the same number of regular numbers as even numbers. We additionally observe there are the same number of characteristic numbers as products of two. This represents the issue of assigning the cardinality of the normal numbers. The standard image for the cardinality of the characteristic numbers is o. The arrangement of even normal numbers has indistinguishable number of individuals from the arrangement of regular numbers. The both have a similar cardinality o. By transfinite number juggling we can see this exemplified. 1 2 3 4 5 6 7 8 ? 0 2 4 6 8 10 12 14 16 ? At the point when we add one number to the arrangement of levels, for this situation 0 apparently the base set is bigger, however when we move the base set over our underlying articulation is genuine once more. 1 2 3 4 5 6 7 8 9 ? 0 2 4 6 8 10 12 14 16 ? We again have accomplished a balanced correspondence with the top line, this demonstrates the cardinality of both is the equivalent being o. This correspondence prompts the end that o+1=o. At the point when we include two unending sets together, we likewise get the aggregate of boundlessness; o+o=o. This being said we can attempt to discover bigger arrangements of interminability. Cantor had the option to show that some unending sets do have cardinality more prominent than o, given 1. We should contrast the nonsensical numbers with the genuine numbers to accomplish this outcome. 1 0.142678435 2 0.293758778 3 0.383902892 4 0.563856365 : No mater which coordinating framework we devise we will consistently have the option to concoct another nonsensical number that has not been recorded. We need just to pick a digit not the same as the primary digit of our first number. Our second digit needs just to be not quite the same as the second digit of the subsequent number, this can proceed unendingly. Our new number will consistently vary than one as of now on the rundown by one digit. This being genuine we can't place the normal and unreasonable numbers in a balanced correspondence like we could with the naturals and levels. We currently have a set, the irrationals, with a more noteworthy cardinality, thus its assignment as 1. Georg Cantor didn't think of the idea of limitlessness, however he was the first to give it in excess of a quick look. Numerous mathematicians saw interminability as unbounded development as opposed to an achieved amount like Cantor. The conventional perspective on limitlessness was something ?expanding over all limits, yet continually staying limited.? Galileo (1564-1642) saw the idiosyncrasy that any piece of a set could contain the same number of components as the entire set. Berhard Bolzano (1781-1848) made incredible headways in the hypothesis of sets. Bolzano developed Galileo's discoveries and given more instances of this subject. One of the most regarded mathematicians ever is Karl Friedrich Gauss. Gauss gave this knowledge on endlessness: Concerning your confirmation, I should challenge your utilization of the unbounded as something fulfilled, as this is never allowed in science. The vast is nevertheless a saying; a condensed structure for the explanation that cutoff points exists which certain proportions may approach as intently as we want, while different extents might be allowed to develop past all bounds....No logical inconsistencies will emerge as long as Finite Man doesn't confuse the unending with something fixed, as long as he isn't driven by an obtained propensity for psyche to view the interminable as something bounded.(Burton 590) Cantor, maybe the genuine boss of interminability, worked off of his antecedents discoveries. He contended that boundlessness was indeed ?fixed scientifically by numbers in the distinct type of a finished whole.?(Burton 590) Cantor looked to Anonymoushttp://www.blogger.com/profile/13394360061979104703noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6723111411376802710.post-74574626141688582022020-08-22T18:38:00.001-07:002020-08-22T18:38:33.732-07:00The Hanging Gardens Of Babylon Essays - Landscape ArchitectureThe Hanging Gardens of Babylon ?The way to deal with the Garden slanted like a slope and the few pieces of the structure rose from each other level on level... On this, the earth had been heaped... also, was thickly planted with trees of each sort that, by their incredible size and other appeal, offered joy to the spectator... The water machines [raised] the water in incredible wealth from the waterway, albeit nobody outside could see it.? Diodorus Siculus Foods grown from the ground... Cascades... Nurseries dangling from the royal residence patios... Outlandish creatures... This is the image of the Hanging Gardens of Babylon in a great many people's psyches. It might be amazing to realize that they may have never existed aside from in Greek artists and history specialists creative mind! Area On the east bank of the River Euphrates, around 50 km south of Baghdad, Iraq. History The Babylonian realm prospered under the standard of the renowned King, Hammurabi (1792-1750 BC). It was not until the rule of Naboplashar (625-605 BC) of the Neo-Babylonian administration that the Mesopotamian human progress arrived at its definitive wonder. His child, Nebuchadnezzar II (604-562 BC) is credited for building the amazing Hanging Gardens. It is said that the Gardens were worked by Nebuchadnezzar to satisfy his better half or mistress who had been raised in Media and had an energy for mountain environmental factors. While the most expressive records of the Gardens originate from Greek antiquarians, for example, Berossus and Diodorus Siculus, Babylonian records remain quiet on the issue. Tablets from the hour of Nebuchadnezzar don't have a solitary reference to the Hanging Gardens, despite the fact that portrayals of his royal residence, the city of Babylon, and the dividers are found. Indeed, even the students of history who give nitty gritty portrayals of the Hanging Gardens never observed them. Present day students of history contend that when Alexander's officers arrived at the prolific place where there is Mesopotamia and saw Babylon, they were dazzled. At the point when they later came back to their rough country, they had stories to tell about the astonishing nurseries and palm trees at Mesopotamia.. About the castle of Nebuchadnezzar.. About the Tower of Babel and the ziggurats. What's more, it was the creative mind of writers and antiquated students of history that mixed every one of the se components together to deliver one of the World Wonders. It wasn't until the twentieth century that a portion of the riddles encompassing the Hanging Gardens were uncovered. Archeologists are as yet battling to accumulate enough proof before arriving at the last decisions about the area of the Gardens, their water system framework, and their actual appearance. Portrayal Nitty gritty depictions of the Gardens originate from antiquated Greek sources, including the compositions of Strabo and Philo of Byzantium. Here are a few selections from their records: The Garden is quadrangular, and each side is four plenty long. It comprises of curved vaults which are situated on checkered solid shape like establishments.. The rising of the highest porch rooftops is made by a stairway... The Hanging Garden has plants developed over the ground level, and the underlying foundations of the trees are inserted in an upper patio instead of in the earth. The entire mass is bolstered on stone segments... Floods of water rising up out of raised sources stream down slanting channels... These waters flood the entire nursery soaking the underlying foundations of plants and keeping the entire region wet. Thus the grass is for all time green and the leaves of trees become solidly joined to graceful branches... This is a masterpiece of illustrious extravagance and its most striking component is that the work of development is suspended over the leaders of the observers. Later archeological unearthings at the old city of Babylon in Iraq revealed the establishment of the castle. Different discoveries incorporate the Vaulted Building with thick dividers and a water system well close to the southern royal residence. A gathering of archeologists overviewed the region of the southern castle and remade the Vaulted Building as the Hanging Gardens. In any case, the Greek history specialist Strabo had expressed that the nurseries were arranged by the River Euphrates. So others contend that the site is excessively far from the Euphrates to help the hypothesis since the Vaulted Building is a few many meters away. They remade the site of the royal residence and found the Gardens in the territory extending from the River to the Palace. Based on its final ranking released today (April 19th), it is easy to see why.Long known for judicious research and high standards, Businessweek dumped a wacky ranking on the education world with as many holes as a gophers nest. à In Businessweekââ¬â¢s wild final ride Wharton ââ¬â regarded by some academics as the finest undergraduate business program in the country ââ¬â doesnââ¬â¢t even make its top 10. And the University of California-Berkeley (Haas) and Washington University (Olin), long-time fixtures in the top five, are afterthoughts. So it should be poetic justice that 2016ââ¬â¢s top undergraduate business program ââ¬â in Businessweekââ¬â¢s view, at least ââ¬â is Vil lanova University. Forget the rankingââ¬â¢s flaky output for a moment and give the school props. What a special month! Three weeks ago, Villanova fans were celebrating Kris Jenkinsââ¬â¢ buzzer-beating three-pointer to win the menââ¬â¢s basketball championship. And now the school boasts the top program in academiaââ¬â¢s most populous major.VILLANOVA EXCELS IN EMPLOYER AND STUDENT SATISFACTIONNotre Dame Mendoza College of BusinessOf course, few saw this Cinderella story happening. In Businessweekââ¬â¢s last ranking in 2014, the school finished 24th ââ¬â the equivalent to a sixth seed in the NCAA tournament. Despite the odds, Villanova went supernova, leapfrogging more decorated programs (including cross-town rival Wharton) to earn a perfect 100 index score. But it was no easy climb. Just .14 of a point separated Villanova from runner-up Notre Dame, the top undergrad business program of 2014.So why should Peter Donohue, Provost Patrick Maggitti, and Interim Dean Dani el Wright be loaded onto the big bus and showered with cheers and confetti on Market Street? This year, Villanova excelled in that ever-flawed category that mattered most to Businessweek: The Employer Survey. Here, the school finished 2nd overall ââ¬â with employer opinion accounting for 40% of a schoolââ¬â¢s rank.Based on opinions collected from 1,079 recruiters at 582 firms, the employer score is based on two components: ââ¬Å"Average rating by employers (a measure of the schoolââ¬â¢s quality in the eyes of recruiters); and the sum of ratings it received (a measure of the schoolââ¬â¢s reach).â⬠In other words, not only did Villanova students impress potential employers in the areas important to them, but also performed well once they were hired. More impressive, the program has progressed substantially in this area, ranking 55th among employers in 2014 (and 31st in 2013).INDIANA SURGES AS VIRGINIA STRUGGLESEmployers werenââ¬â¢t the only ones happy with Villan ova. Students themselves gave the business program high marks. The school placed 10th in the student survey, which covers another 35% of the rankingââ¬â¢s weight. This survey was conducted with over 27,000 recent graduates, with each school needing a minimum of 30 alumni responses to be ranked (with 2014 surveys given a fourth of the student survey weight). While Businessweek didnââ¬â¢t disclose the 22 questions posed to graduates, they have traditionally covered areas like teaching and facilities. That said, student satisfaction has traditionally been a Villanova strength, with the school ranking 13th here in Businessweekââ¬â¢s 2014 undergrad business rankings. However, Villanova still has room for improvement. Despite scoring high marks from employers, recent grads lag behind their peers in starting salary, finishing 29th in this category (which contributes 15% of a school ranking). Villanova also ranked below the top ten in internships, which is defined by Businessweek as ââ¬Å"work experience that accumulates a minimum of 120 hours of work within a six-month (consecutive) period, in which a student receives supervision and/or mentorship and in which the student applies his or her knowledge and skills learned in college.â⬠Luckily, this only comprises 10% of the weight.Boston College Carroll School of ManagementIronically, 2nd-ranked Notre Dame often flourished where Villanova floundered. Case in point: Student surveys. For the third year running, Mendoza topped all comers in terms of student satisfaction ââ¬â a tribute to the schoolââ¬â¢s academically rigorous yet deeply value-driven and supportive culture. Notre Dame grads also pulled down higher starting salaries than their Villanova counterparts (though Businessweek chose to rank schools in this area rather than disclose actual salaries as in years past). In the end, these differences cancelled each other out, with Villanovaââ¬â¢s stronger performance in the employer survey enabl ing it to squeak out the win over Notre Dame.Rounding out the top three is Boston Collegeââ¬â¢s Carroll School of Management. This school is defined by consistent excellence, being one of three schools to rank in the top 20 across all four measurements (with Indiana and Texas being the others). Like Villanova ââ¬â also a Jesuit institution ââ¬â Carroll shined in both the employer and student survey, ranking 5th in each category. Notably, Boston College climbed from 15th to 5th in the student survey since Businessweekââ¬â¢s 2014 ranking, while hanging in the employer top 10 for the past three rankings. Carrollââ¬â¢s Achilles heel, however, was starting salary, though the school still posted a respectable 17th-place finish here.Despite ranking 4th and 5th, Indiana University (Kelley) and the University of Virginia (McIntire) are probably responding differently to this yearââ¬â¢s ranking. Since the 2013 Businessweek undergraduate business ranking, Kelley has vaulted up nine spots overall. The school is a favorite of employers, placing 4th in the employer survey (after ranking 1st in this measure in both the 2014 and 2013 rankings). The school has also made slow-but-steady gains in student satisfaction over that time as well, going from 20th to 13th. McIntire, on the other hand, tumbled three spots after ranking 2nd in both of the previous Businessweek rankings. To add insult to injury, Virginia ranked in the top 10 in three categories, topping out at 2nd in student satisfaction. So where does the school fall short? Try the all-important employer survey, where the school finished a dismal 43rd.DONT MISS: A COMMENTARY ON THE NEW BUSINESSWEK RANKING GARBAGE IN, GARBAGE OUT Page 1 of 41234à » Anonymoushttp://www.blogger.com/profile/13394360061979104703noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6723111411376802710.post-77374331048105147362020-05-25T22:44:00.001-07:002020-05-25T22:44:05.226-07:00Act 3 Scene 1 of William Shakespeares Romeo and Juliet Essay Act 3 Scene 1 of William Shakespeares Romeo and Juliet Act 3 scene 1 of ââ¬ËRomeo and Julietââ¬â¢ is a very important scene in the play in that it is a turning from where the whole course of the action starts to move in a different, tragic direction. As Romeo enters we see that he is the reason Tybalt has come. Tybalt tries to start a fight with Romeo but Romeo tries to talk his way out of it. Many dreams come from various activities from throughout the day but some offer symbolic expressions. There is a connection between the conscious and the unconscious that can fill in the gaps of self-knowledge and provide the information needed. Carl Jung believed that dreams provide messages about ââ¬Å"lostâ⬠or ââ¬Å"neglectedâ⬠parts of ourselves that need to be reintegrated. Why do we dream? Dreams are wish fulfillment. Answer: In Malaysia, consumer holds an important place. The term consumer has been defined under section 3 of the Consumer Protection Act 1999 as a person who buys certain goods for his personal or other use[1]. Under the Malaysian law, consumers have accrued certain rights by which they are able to secure their interest as against any coercion or undue influence made by traders or manufacturer. Malaysia is a trading country. The economy of Malaysia has reached its highest peak due to the tremendous growth in the sector of trade and commerce[2]. The marketing environment of Malaysia has become more competitive as the traders are intended to gain profits and the consumers become confused regarding this. It becomes necessary to let the consumer well informed about their rights mentioned under the Consumer protection Act. The increased growth in Malaysia had given birth to unfair trade practice. The traders are mainly misleading the consumers to earn profit by providing them defective products. Traders are not maintaining the standard of the goods and they used cheap material regarding the manufacture of goods. These steps are against the consumer policy. In this way, the trade practice in Malaysia has affected the consumer rights[3]. It has been stated that the economy of Malaysia is mainly based on the trade and commerce[4]. The term has been defined under section 3 of the Consumer Protection act 1999. With the huge growth in the trading sector, certain unfair trade practices have been taken place. The main aim of the Consumer Act is to protect the interest of the consumers[5]. There are a number of cases, where it has been observed that the consumers of Malaysia are in a great dilemma regarding the product sold in the continent. The ultimate motto of the trade practice is to gain profit. Therefore, if the trade supersede the consumer rights, the interest of the consumers will be affected as the traders will deceive the consumers to feather their own nest. The word supersede means something replaced by a new thing for the development of the economy. Trading is the main economic backbone of Malaysia and for the development of the financial sector regarding the issue, it is important to enact certain treaties with the other countries to enhance the business relation. In Malaysia, there is a Fair Trade Agreement enacted to deal with the situation. Malaysia had signed many treaties in the international level. Malaysia is a member of ASEAN and WTO. In the recent trading rate, Malaysia becomes the third trading partner of Europe. The economic models of Malaysia helped the country to develop the private sector and enable the government to rearrange the policies regarding the same. By the growth of the economic sector, the business tendency goes on high rate and the provisions regarding the consumer protection is compressed tremendously. Many of the consumers do not have any knowledge about their rights. The private companies are targeting the m and trying to earn profit by misleading them. The clauses regarding the trade treaty are Bi lateral treaty, MITI, FTA etc[6]. A treaty had been signed by Malaysia with Rome and Article 7 and Article 59 of the said treaty caused serious price discrimination and the interest of the consumers become vitiated by this. Under the consumer Protection Act 1999, an initiative has been taken to secure the rights of the consumers so that they could not be suffered by the acts of the traders. There are certain provisions in the CPA 1999 where penalties and clauses have been stated regarding the violation of the interest of the consumers[7]. Answer: Professional misconduct is the behavior outside the bounds of what is well thought-out satisfactory or worthy of its involvement by the governing body of a profession. It is therefore in order and true that doctors or practicing nurses found guilty of misconduct should be deregistered(Koutoukidis, 2012). Healthcare professionals should be deregistered because they can endanger the health and comfort of patients and the excellence of nursing control team-work, it can also set patients into risk or really hurt because a healthcare worker lacks skills or offer careless care and appears impotent or reluctant to alteration the condition, some of the health workers even go to an extent of stealing drugs from the hospitals and even they have opened a chemist where they sell them. They should also be deregistered for wrong medication where a patient is wrongly mistaken and given a wrong medicine.an example of a patient who was having leg fracture and was to be operated, was mistakenly operated on the brain for suffering from a brain tumor. There are two categories of professional misconduct, misconduct which is linked with incompetence and that which is related with impairment, In the case of incompetence, a health worker operative is damaged as an outcome of shortages in information and aids and in the case of impairment a health workers reasoning, relational or psychomotor aptitudes are extremely impaired due to individual condition that interrelate with the situation such as material exploitation, violent behaviour, mental infection or physical incapacity. Examples of misconducts seen generous to the investigation were sexual harassment to a patient by especially male health workers, this is where when a female patient is attended by a male doctor, he abuses her sexually for her to get proper treatment, unlawful or wrong suggesting and unsuitable medical care(Wykes, 2013). The study was also practical that physical injury happened to patient 9% of the cases reported and 8% deaths (Association, 2011). It was a disaster when an eight-year-old boy died in Australia due to poor understanding, poor conclusion and incorrect action by doctor Hamid (University, 2014). The boy who was suffering from septic shock caused by a ruptured appendix. In the duties of the nurses and doctors, they are subjected to be true in their undertakings, a doctor should not take an operation he or she is not sure of, the doctor should not administer any drug to a patient without performing the test to know the exact disease just from the symptoms and sign he sees from the patient since many diseases share symptoms. A medic should not also lie to the patient that he or she is suffering from a given infection just to obtain a lot of money from him or her. Such codes of ethics for the medical operation should be highly checked and any nurse or a doctor who violates these codes of ethics should be deregistered. It is fair to deregister such a professional since he or she is not following the ethics of work. If such medics are allowed to continue with such behaviors they may bring more harm in the health sector which is not only overexploitation and harassment but also in some cases may lead to death. The health sector is a very strategic sector which doesn't require any misconduct in the operation. If a doctor gives a drug which he or she is very sure that cannot treat the intended disease but he or she does it just to earn income will highly affect the patient in different ways(Funnel, 2014). First, the patient will not receive the correct treatment for the disease, secondly, the patient may contract another disease as a result of drug abuse lastly the patient is conned as he or she pays for the service not delivered. Hence to avoid all these misfortunes vices in the health sector it is highly proper to deregister such professionals(University, 2014). Conclusion In summary, it is very right and highly healthy for the concerned bodies to deregister doctors, nurses and other medics who violate the codes of ethics of the practice of the medic. The aforementioned reasons fully give enough reasons why such medics should not allow to continue practicing as either a doctor or a nurse. And if such nurses or doctors are deregistered it will also act a warning to other medics who might have such evil minds of misconducts. References: Association, A. M. (2011). And the general consensus is that the book is better than the film adaptation ââ¬âregardless of who pegs, stars or writes the screenplay. In this particular essay, let us look into the difference between the Stephen Kingââ¬â¢s novel entitled ââ¬Å"Itâ⬠and the mini-series adapted from it. To begin with, ââ¬Å"Itâ⬠the film begins in the small town of Derry, and centers around a group of young local outcasts. The film adaptation is divided into two parts ââ¬âthe first part is set in 1960- and not 1958, as in the novel-, and introduces the group of social outcasts, the Losers, as they meet and form a tight-knit group in the face of a cruel and intolerant world. They each individually come into contact with the child-killing monster haunting their hometown which simply refer to as ââ¬Å"itâ⬠. It usually appears as Pennywise the Dancing Clown before taking the form of whatever its child victim most greatly fears. Spurred on by Bill Denbroughs desire for revenge on It for killing his younger brother Georgie, the Losers resolved to locate ââ¬Å"Itââ¬â¢sâ⬠home in the sewers and destroy the threat to Derry once and for all. Despite managing to inflict serious injuries upon the monster, they fail to finish the job, allowing ââ¬Å"Itâ⬠to escape and recover over the years. The second half of the film, set in 1990- and not 1985 like the novel, focuses on the now-adult Losers who reluctantly agree to return home (all of them except Mike Hanlon have left Derry) to locate and destroy ââ¬Å"Itâ⬠once and for all. The Losers must again face not only the terrible creature and the diminishing of their circle after the suicide of Stan Uris, but also Henry Bowers. The bully who made their childhoods miserable and is now an incarcerated madman under Its influence, Bowers is determined to kill them all. While the book and the film adaptation carry basically the same story line, there are still noticeable differences between the two. Needless to say, many parts of the book are twisted, either changed completely, or have different characters. Let us take a look at some of the following elements that were important to the books plot which were either removed or represented very differently in the film. First off is the concept of violence.à I have to agree with some critics when they point out that many of ââ¬Å"Itsâ⬠extremely graphic and gory attacks are merely implied in the film, and are not shown onscreen. For instance, the Losers findings of many mutilated corpses are also omitted, as are several instances of cruelty to animals, such as when Patrick Hocksetter suffocates many animals inside an abandoned refrigerator, and Henry Bowers poisons Mike Hanlons dog, Mr. Chips. Second element that was not very clear in the movie is homophobia. In the book, ââ¬Å"Itsâ⬠first attack during its modern cycle is not on a little girl on her front lawn, but on a homosexual man named Adrian Mellon who had just been gay bashed. The movie drops this scene entirely, and never refers to it at any point. Other scenes involving homosexuality are left out, including a bar named the Falcon, rumored to be a gay bar, and when Patrick proposes to have oral sex with Henry. Profanity was also downplayed in the movie as opposed to the novel. Vulgar dialogue is omnipresent throughout the entire novel. It also features an aspect of characters developing their own abilities to curse. For instance, Eddie yells This is battery acid, you slime! while spraying his aspirator in ââ¬Å"Itsâ⬠face, as opposed to BATTERY ACID, FUCKNUTS! in the novel. Another element that was visibly altered in the movie is that of racism. Racism, particularly towards the Hanlons for being black, is a significant issue almost entirely ignored in the film. Despite establishing Henry Bowers and other characters as racists, the film does not feature some of the novels racist attacks, such as when Henry drenches Mike in mud in order to make a tar baby, or a thorough analysis of the word nigger. In addition, Stan being a Jew results in some stereotypical views of Judaism in the novel, though this issue is also never analyzed in the film. The most obvious omission in the novel is the element of sexuality. In the novel, before the young Losers successfully escape from the sewer after encountering ââ¬Å"Itâ⬠, Beverly Marsh has sex with the boys. She also has sex with Bill earlier as an adult. It also makes some appearances in which ââ¬Å"Itâ⬠threatens the children with sexual assault. These scenes are dropped entirely from the film, as well as characters viewings on sexuality as children, and details of their sex lives as adults. While many of ââ¬Å"Itsâ⬠attacks are represented accurately in the film, some never appear in Stephen Kings novel at all, and are completely unique to the film. Examples would include Pennywise coming out of a pipe while Eddie is taking a shower and Ben seeing his father, who died while serving in the Korean War, near the Barrens. Pennywise appears in his fatherââ¬â¢s place, and almost succeeds in dragging Ben into the swamp. In closing, I would like to say that I enjoyed the novel much better than the movie ââ¬âas is generally the case. For starters, the novel allows the reader to explore his imagination and see each depiction of ââ¬Å"ITâ⬠as he or she sees fit. Some of the scenes I have noted above fell short of my expectations and for this reason, I would recommend the novel more than its film version. Additionally, it is important to explain the relationship between the various stakeholders and their environment. The environment will influence the nature of their operations and the type of project designed in this case. It thus becomes important to evaluate and discuss the nature of the of the environment and the effects of human behaviors and their developments in order to determine the best and most cost effective means of preventing diabetes from the target audience. The human ecological theory provides an effective framework upon which to investigate the relationship between humans and their environments thus making the design and execution of the plan possible. Medical professionals such as doctors are directly involved with the design and the planning of the project. They understand the factors that lead to the prevalence of the disease and are equally capable of devis ing effective treatments. Their involvement in the project is therefore basic since they will formulate and implement the daily operational plans. Teachers on the other hand will carry out civic education. They will organize mobile education centers from where they will interact with their target audience and teach them on the ways of preventing the prevalence of the disease. They will therefore liaise with the doctors and carry out consultative sessions in which the teachers provide best prevention methods as formulated and advised by the medical professionals. This way, the entire project becomes realistic as each party relies on the other for the success of the entire project (Willett, 1998). The high-risk adults are the audience of the project; they will constitute the targeted public among which the civic education, diagnosis and treatment program will take place. The medical professionals and the teachers will formulate effective plans of actions that best address the issues t hat either affect or influence the populationââ¬â¢s susceptibility to the disease. The project will therefore involve identifying the target audience, formulating effective programs that will befit the special group that constitute the audience and finally carrying out the civic education. To carry out the above activities effectively, the project coordinator will liaise with the local authority whose support is relevant for the success of the project. Additionally, the project will incorporate medical testing as a way of investigating the prevalence of the type 2 diabetes among the targeted population. In analyzing the relationship among the different stakeholders in the project, the human ecological theory provides five environmental systems with which humans interact. The theory provides community psychologists with an effective platform to analyze and understand human interactions both among themselves and with their societies.
